Excuse me...but do you live here??

Something funny happened last night...

Darrel and I were walking to dinner last night, and as we were passing a couple and their 2 children the gentleman said "Excuse me, but do you guys live around here?"  Darrel and I looked at each other, chuckled and said "well, I guess we do now."  The gentleman then proceeded to ask "Could you tell us where the Prince Edward Pub is?"  Luckily, the pub is about 100m from our flat so we could actually tell them where it was and not blow our cover as a 'local'. :-)

So I guess we are starting to blend in, and not looking like tourists LOL

Our Temporary Address...

74-76 Princes Square, Flat #25
London W2 4NY
United Kingdom

Well, we made it and are all unpacked in our initial corporate flat.  It's not huge (by a longshot), but it is better than being in a hotel.  We are in an area that I think you'd call 'Noting Hill adjacent', and actually closer to Bayswater.  What's nice is that we are walking distance to many shops and restaurants and a gym.  Also, we are about a 20min commute to Darrel's office, which he is very happy about.

I am meeting with 2 different realtors tomorrow to start looking for a more permanent residence.  Keep your fingers crossed for us, because we are both ready to get a little bit more settled.  As soon as we have a permanent address, I will post as well.

Finally...

Well, I finally have set up this blog to try and document Darrel's and my adventures across the pond.  I don't know how often I will post on here, but am going to try and give it a valiant effort.  I have never maintained a blog before, so I'm sure that there is going to be a learning curve.  In time, I hope that this will be enjoyable and keep everyone up to date as to our travels.  It will also be great to document this exciting chapter in both of our lives.

I still can't believe that we are actually going to be on the plane in 4 1/2 hours.  We started this process back in January, and at times it has felt like we were never going to get our Visas.  However, these last two weeks has been a huge whirlwind and now is the time to finally get over to London and get settled.

Well, I'm gonna sign off for now....for those of you who sounded excited to hear about our adventures, I hope you enjoy.
